Introducing Esther's 3 Days.

A place to openly share a journey of faith.

New Year. New Beginnings.

While a few posts may carry earlier dates, blogging itself is a new venture for me. With the Esther’s 3 Days website officially launching today, just one day ahead of the February 1 deadline, it feels like the right moment to pause and share the story behind the name, the inspiration that shaped it, and, ultimately, the author behind the words.

Holy Spirit Led

Hello everyone, and welcome. Thank you for being here and for allowing me to share this journey of faith with you. Though I may be the one writing the words, this message is not mine alone. It is led by the Holy Spirit and offered for all of us, as one body united in Christ.

Humble Starts

Since I was a young girl, writing became my safe space, an outlet where I could pour out my deepest thoughts and emotions. It all began with a My Little Pony lock-and-key journal that only I could open. I was about five years old at the time, and oh boy...you couldn’t tell me a thing.

Before long, that little keepsake became far too small to hold everything I needed to say, so I graduated to bigger journals. When those filled up, they were placed in boxes in the garage, which eventually turned into my personal storage unit of thoughts and prayers. That journey, sparked by a My Little Pony lock-and-key journal, became the foundation of my writing life.

Those journals, my composition books, were kept hidden from public view. They held private reflections on experiences that were difficult to express out loud. Trust did not come easily to me. Perhaps being adopted by my great-grandmother played a role in that, making closeness and vulnerability feel complicated, especially when it came to carrying my emotional baggage. Writing, however, made that weight feel lighter.

I didn’t know who to turn to or trust with such profound feelings, because I felt things deeply. And so, journaling became my refuge. Decades later, as an introvert turned extrovert, this blog was formed to continue that sacred work.

I Will Trust In The Lord

This space exists to share, with my beautiful mothers and sisters in the faith, new experiences along this so-called journey of life. From marriage to infertility, from stepping out as a water-walker like Peter to traveling to and fro, we will explore life as it unfolds, together. Esther as a Role Model. A Shero!

As a believer in Jesus Christ, as a Christian, life is not easy. Decisions must be carefully weighed and prayed over, for there is often a dear price to pay when they are not. Like our ancestor—our mother, sister, and friend in the faith, Esther. For her life was weighed in the balance.

Esther found herself navigating a new life as the wife of the king, when Mordecai beseeched her with a grave request: to go before the king on behalf of their people and plead for their lives (Esther 4:1–8). She hesitated—and for good reason. Who wouldn’t? To approach the king without a formal invitation was forbidden and could cost her everything.

Yet even with her life on the line, Esther first took the matter to God. She chose to trust the Lord—not only for the preservation of her own life, but for the salvation of her people, the Jewish people.

How did she do this?

Her Strengths/My Strengths/Our Strengths

  • Intercessor: There was only one answer. One simple answer. And one answer that was NOT deliberated upon once it was declared that this was the course of action that not only she would take, but the whole nation (Esther 4:13-17). Although they were wailing and already doing this, it wasn’t in an organized fashion. That wasn’t until Esther was involved. The new queen.

  • Her Obedience and Sacrifice: Esther’s obedience and trust is something we all need to be reminded of. We by no means are perfect people. We don't claim to be holy, although through the washing and cleansing of our sins through Jesus Christ we are becoming sanctified.

  • The Namesake: She is the inspiration for this blog and the reason it was created as an eponym in her honor. While we will not always focus solely on the Book of Esther, she remains central as one of only two books of the Holy Bible named after a woman.

As a prominent feminine figure in Scripture, Esther will be frequently examined and revered as a beautiful, favored, and honorable woman of God. When we compare her to the previous queen, Vashti, we see that Esther was the maiden chosen above all others, across the kingdom and beyond. Her selection was not merely about beauty, but about divine favor, timing, and purpose.

Our obedience and faith in our Father who is in heaven, builds our strength and our character in him.

The Living Breathing Word of God

If you are unfamiliar with her story, I encourage you to read some of the previous blog posts to gain further insight, but the true source will always be the Holy Bible. Let us now begin to study her character more deeply: not only as a person, but as a wife, sister, and leader.

Esther’s position was not merely that of a role model, but of a woman with divine purpose—called to rise beyond Vashti, clothed with favor, and entrusted with unique authority bestowed upon her by King Ahasuerus and, ultimately, by the Spirit of the Most High God.

I truly love her story, and I hope you do too. After reading and studying the Word of God, my prayer is that you are able to draw inspiration from Esther’s wisdom, faith, and servitude.

Let love lead! Let love abound!
